On Saturday, I picked up another collection for the Genealogy Library Center. It includes city directories for Michigan, county histories, an atlas, an original county birth and death register, some miscellaneous books, and a limestone grave marker for James Barnhill of Kentucky who was born in 1780! His family were early settlers in Kentucky.<\/p>\n

Soon I will have the full story behind the tombstone to share with you. I need the story, so you won’t think I have been guilty\u00a0 of robbing graves. Besides, the story is quite interesting.<\/p>\n

Later this week, I will make another short trip to Oregon to pick up another part of the Conner-Bishop Library which has been coming to Tremonton for almost two years. Ruth Bishop’s own genealogy files are now here. And this is the Surname and Locality Lists for those files:<\/p>\n
