{"id":200,"date":"2008-10-04T11:28:47","date_gmt":"2008-10-04T18:28:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.arleneeakle.com\/wordpress\/2008\/10\/04\/an-honest-hard-working-woman-and-thats-rare\/"},"modified":"2008-10-28T22:24:46","modified_gmt":"2008-10-29T05:24:46","slug":"an-honest-hard-working-woman-and-thats-rare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arleneeakle.com\/wordpress\/2008\/10\/04\/an-honest-hard-working-woman-and-thats-rare\/","title":{"rendered":"An honest, hard-working woman&#8211;and that&#8217;s rare."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the Heritage Commission, MSU GEnealogy Seminar ended&#8211;we tooled south on the Enchanted Highway in North Dakota.\u00a0 Sculptor Gary Greff has created free-standing works depicting the wildlife and characters of the prairie&#8211;geese in flight, pheasant family&#8211;father, mother, and all the kids&#8211;the Tin Family, and many others.<\/p>\n<p>As we pulled into the viewing area to take pictures, a man and his wife climbed out of their vehicle too.\u00a0 The man was wearing a red tee shirt with &#8220;Wasilla, Best Town in the US&#8221; across the back in white letters. (<a href=\"http:\/\/bassettnet.smugmug.com\/gallery\/6390046_MZDwK#404193590_GogGj\" title=\"Photo\" target=\"_blank\">Photo<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>There is only one Wasilla that I know&#8211;so I asked him if he was from Alaska.\u00a0 He answered yes.\u00a0 So I grinned at him and said, &#8220;I bet you are very proud to be from Wasilla.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I live across the street from her.
