If You’ve Traced all your Hard-to-Find Ancestors–Cover Your Eyes! This Letter from Arlene Eakle is not for You…

Family History Expos is coming back to Sheridan Wyoming 21 June 2011.  And are we excited!  Holly and I have planned a fun, educational genealogy learning experience for you.  You can get help for your hardest genealogy questions from our panel of experts:

  1. Leland Meitzler is bringing his whole bookstore with him and he will teach you how to find censuses and newspapers online–some you did not know existed.
  2. Marlo Schuldt will demonstrate how to scan and preserve your photographs online–both old and new.
  3. Ken Aubuchon will demonstrate how to build your family tree–using an “easy button.”
  4. Donna Potter Phillips, of Spokane WA, has identified 100 ways to document a death–you don’t want to miss this class.
  5. Billy Edginton, a Native American expert who can field your questions, will show you how to get more mileage out of the forms you use and find what you want in libraries and archives.
  6. Holly Hansen–you get to hear her speak.  She is research pro with much experience as well as an event planner.  And she has tips for using FamilySearch.org that will increase your research success.
  7. Arlene Eakle–moi, me, I will cover Want Land, Will Travel:  Using Land and Tax Records.  If you want to prove your ancestry, you must use land and tax records–I’ll show you how to do it effectively.

You can order dinner with the experts, you can buy a print copy of the syllabus (you get a CD with your registration of the whole enchilada!) for the whole Colorado Circuit–North Platte, Rapid City, and Loveland CO–a two-day event.  You can visit the Exhibit area and buy tools and guides to increase your success rate.  You can win great prizes every hour.  You can Ask-the-Pros your hardest genealogy questions.

See you, 21 June 2011, 4:00 to 9:30 pm at the Holiday Inn, 1809 Sugarland Drive, Sheridan WY 82801,  Register online at http://FamilyHistoryExpos.com or call 801-829-3295 and give your registration to ShyAnna right over the phone.  $55.00 online, $60.00 at the door.

Sit-down Dinner  with and Ask-the-Pros panel is $20.00 and requires a separate registration.  And of all the hotels where I speak, Holiday Inn prepares a consistently yummy meal for a reasonable cost.  Come dine with us and ask your questions, even if you can’t attend the whole evening.  Your favorite genealogist, Arlene Eakle  http://arleneeakle.com

PS  I have 2 clever handouts available for my Keynote Address–available only at this event.  They are not in the Syllabus!  And the Keynote Address is always FREE at Family History Expos events.
